NEW HERE?

Thank you for your interest in Union Presbyterian Church! We think you should know some important things as you plan your visit.

WHEN? We gather together every Sunday morning for worship starting at 10:00 am. Following worship, everyone is welcome downstairs to our café for fellowship and refreshments.

We offer two adult Sunday school classes and a children’s Sunday school class for elementary-age children. All classes meet at 9:00 am.

WHERE? Our church is located at 5637 Street Road in Kirkwood, PA.  We are six miles outside of Oxford, Pa, and seven miles outside Quarryville, Pa. Look for the large red brick church off of Rt 472. You can’t miss us!

WHAT TO EXPECT? As you enter, you should expect to be greeted by someone from our church family at the door. Our sanctuary is upstairs, and you will find worship guides for our service there. Feel free to sit wherever you like. Our service typically lasts 70 minutes. You can expect singing, prayer, readings from the Bible, and a sermon.

Children have a significant place in the family of God, and they are very welcome in our service. Don’t worry about cries, squeals, or fussiness. We want to worship God as a family, from the youngest to the oldest among us. If your child needs a break from the service, we have a nursery on the same level as the sanctuary. Elementary-age children can attend Children’s Church, a time of age-specific teaching focused on the truths of God’s Word; this takes place during the sermon.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a dress code? - There is no dress code at Union. You’ll find everything from suits to jeans. Please come as you are.

Does the church do anything outside Sunday morning? - We have several growth groups that meet weekly & monthly for fellowship, prayer, and Bible study. On the first Sunday of the month, we join other local congregations for an evening prayer service to pray for our churches, community, nation, and world. Our congregation regularly participates in the mission of other local organizations, including Solanco Neighborhood Ministries and Solid Rock Youth Center. Union also hosts outreach events, including community meals, yard sales, organ concerts, and youth activities. We welcome and encourage visitors to join us whenever and however the church gathers.
